A Family Business
After serving nine years in the US Army, Chris Mayer knew he wanted to create something that would last and be impactful for his family and others. With a natural inclination towards a business-oriented mindset, and a persistent drive, this opportunity would arise years later.
Jon Mayer moved down to Florida in 2005 working as a subcontractor installing flooring, having grown up in Michigan doing construction work with is dad. He then had a vision to have his own family company, much like his Uncle Chris, and eventually this led them to partner together and form a business.
In August 2006, they would create Designer Lifestyles LLC, with long term goals and growth in mind. The company is family owned and operated, originally starting as a flooring installation business with Jon and only one truck to do the installs. Throughout the following years, and with a lot of hard work and dedicated team efforts, Designer Lifestyles would grow from one truck into an operation complete with our own store and warehouse.
We have since expanded into full scale remodeling & constructing new builds from the ground up. We strive to provide the best customer service possible and make our customers happy in the end. It's an honor to work in the business of making dream homes a reality.
