After serving nine years in the US Army, Chris Mayer knew he wanted to create something that would last and be impactful for his family and others. With a business-oriented mindset and a persistent drive, he was determined to fulfill his goals. Having grown up in Michigan doing construction work with his dad, Jon Mayer moved down to Florida in 2005 and was installing flooring as a subcontractor. He then had a vision to have his own family company, much like his Uncle Chris, and eventually, this led them to partner together and form a business. In August 2006, they created Designer Lifestyles LLC with long-term goals and growth in mind.
